Halloween Kills is arriving to theaters imminently, but director David Gordon Unaged is busy with a fresh assume another iconic horror franchise: The Exorciser. If that's not enough, He's also got a series supported Hellraiser in the works, too.

"Hellraiser is on other piece of writing shoulders," Green points out to SFX Magazine publisher. "We've got whatever really strong writers, but they're working happening that. Soh that's wait to be delivered. But right at once I have written the first of three Exorcist movies. That was my general propose and a very different practise than Halloween, it's much more researched and academic and IT's approaching the genre from a opposite focusing than a slasher movie. Both are really playfulness, both are really intimidating because they're following in the footsteps of the consummate horror films that I grew up with.

"IT's just an amazing opportunity to embody able to gambling in these playgrounds and have access to these characters. Doing Zooms with Ellen Burstyn is unbelievable. Getting script notes and talking nearly quality and doing research for people that have experienced the reality of some of these events.

"Again, real different than Halloween, then I feel the like I get to exercise different muscles, which is great. Just hoping that we can substantiate that in a way that speaks to the fans of the first film and opens up to a new-sprung hearing."

How do you even begin to process writing a new version of what many see to be the greatest horror movie ever? "Sacrifice me a break!" he chuckles. "For Exorcist it was utter at a blank page for days. Ilk, where do you possibly set about? I fitting took inspiration from the original film and saw the variety of chasteness that pic has and the presumptuousness that the audience is very intelligent, and not have to spell it out.

"One time we were going, my co-writer Pete Sattler and I, we started getting aggressive and really turning all over pages really quickly. But information technology was a good deal of conversations. We're doing that right now. We're doing that all weekend for 2 and 3.

"It's interesting, switching gears to and fro 'tween the Halloween mindset and Exorciser mindset, which involves a entirely different toolbelt."
